The Shakespearos are a powerhouse tribute to the raw energy of punk, new wave, and rock, delivering the songs you love with authenticity, fire, and skill. Covering anthems from The Clash, The Jam, Psychedelic Furs, The Ruts, Sex Pistols, Generation X, and more, they bring the rebellious spirit of the late 70s and 80s back to life with electrifying performances.
Formed in 2011 by members of The Beautiful People and The Vapors, The Shakespearos are no strangers to the stage. Their members have toured across the UK, Europe, Australia, and the U.S., sharing stages with legends like The Jam and Oasis. They’ve rocked festivals including Rebellion Festival, Guilfest, Quayfest, and multiple appearances at Polyfest, often serving as the de facto house band while also delivering their own blistering set. Their reputation has taken them beyond the UK, with regular performances in Portugal every summer since 2015.
Hailing from Guildford—a town with a rich punk and new wave legacy that gave rise to The Jam, The Vapors, and The Stranglers—The Shakespearos are deeply connected to the golden age of British alternative music.
